YES’s sponsor, the US-China Chamber of Commerce (USCCC), celebrated its 30th anniversary and Lunar New Year on January 20th. The event encouraged networking and celebration, with sponsors from Bank of America, EastWest Bank, Morgan Stanley, UTD, Dallas Baptist University, and more. Throughout the day, various activities were set up, such as calligraphy, performances from lion dancers, and renowned speakers, including USCCC leaders, Texas political leaders, and Andrew Yang, the co-founder of the Forward Party.
At the gala, outstanding YES leaders also received awards from USCCC, including President Achievement Award (Sally Wang), Outstanding Leadership Award (Bryan Tong and Andy Xu), and Outstanding Service Award (Amy Xu and Alice Cai). Thank you for representing YES, USCCC, and being great leaders of our community!
YES members also volunteered in the event. We arrived earlier to pack 400+ gifts for guests and explore the area's layout to help navigate guests correctly later. We also formed three workstreams to manage different responsibilities. Some took charge of greeting the guests and helping them find their seats, while others managed the VIP room and manned the YES booth to help connect YES with the community and potential new members.
Overall, it was a great event. We were glad to contribute to its success and enjoyed interacting with leaders and the bigger community. In addition, we want to thank all parents and YES members who took part in helping and representing YES and USCCC!v We look forward to the next anniversary celebration!
