MEET OUR LEADERS
President
Sally Wang
Sally Wang is a senior at Highland Park High School and will be serving as the President of YES. She is passionate about business as well as various STEM and art field. Outside of YES, Sally is involved in various parts of her community, from leading volunteering at Citizens of Tomorrow, to founding organizations such as Bake With Purpose, and playing piano while leading worship at her local church. At school, she is the captain of the Highland Park Robotics team, and is part of the leadership team of multiple clubs such as HCOT, Asian Culture Awareness club, and National Art Honor Society. This year at YES, Sally hopes to work together with her fellow officers in establishing a stronger bond with all members within and outside of the YES community.

Allen Zhang
Allen Zhang is a junior at Jesuit Dallas and is the Executive Vice President. He has been a member of YES for four years and served as the Vice President of Fundraising last year, and as the Fundraising Officer before that. He is dedicated to supporting the community, whether it be by working regular service for his school or through organizations such as YES, Citizens of Tomorrow and the Minority Youth Hockey Association. At school, in addition to participating in numerous clubs, Allen is a clarinetist in the Jesuit Ursuline Ranger Band, and a forward for Jesuit’s Varsity Gold Hockey team. Throughout the year he will be planning and overseeing YES Launch and working to bring the community together.

Andy Xu
Andy Xu is a senior at Highland Park High School and will serve on this year’s Board of Advisors. Entering his sixth year, and having already served as Vice President the previous year, Andy hopes to guide officers through their time at YES with his experience. Outside of YES, Andy has many hours of volunteering with organizations including the Asian Culture and Education Society as well as Citizens of Tomorrow. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and basketball, and has most recently started playing piano again. Andy is looking forward to another great year at YES!

Bryan(Boon Bin) Tong
Bryan Tong is a standout senior at Plano West Senior High, currently serving on the Board of Advisors for YES. Besides an impressive and exemplary GPA and SAT scoring and an All-State TMEA violist, Bryan has demonstrated exceptional leadership in roles such as President of JLTM Toastmasters (2023) and President of Technology and Finance at COT (2024). His dedication extends beyond academia into impactful community service, earning him the Presidential Volunteer Service GOLD Award twice. Bryan’s early passion for global business markets has led him to internships at two international and publicly-listed technology consulting firms, where he gained firsthand experience in business analytics, project management and digital marketing. These roles have shaped his vision for integrating Eastern and Western business practices to address global business challenges for Fortune 500 clients. Committed to fostering economic development, Bryan aims to leverage his unique cross-cultural insights to drive innovation and sustainable growth in the business world. This is his fourth year in YES. He is eager to inspire innovation and growth, helping peers unlock their potential in business and entrepreneurship.

David is a junior at Highland Park High School and will be one of the treasurers this years. This will be his 4th year with YES and his 3rd year as a treasurer. Aside from YES, David is a part of two robotics teams and also his schools water polo and swim team. In his free time, David enjoys playing video games and going to the gym. He is looking forward to a great year at YES this year.

Amie Zhang
Amie Zhang is a senior at Highland Park High School and serves as a Treasurer for YES. She has been a part of YES for over 3 years now, and served as a Fundraising Officer last year. Outside of YES, Amie is also a part of Citizens of Tomorrow and the Highland Park HS Robotics Team. In her free time, she enjoys reading and art. She looks forward to meeting new members and helping YES grow!
Amy Xu
Amy Xu is a senior at Highland Park High School and is the Vice President of Event Planning and Community Involvement this year at YES. In the last five years, Amy has been a member of YES by serving as the social media manager last year and the event planning manager. Outside of YES, Amy is part of Citizens of Tomorrow, the Asian Cultural and Education Society USA, the Highland Park Youth Toastmasters, and the Latin Club. In her free time, Amy enjoys art, music, and baking. Amy strives to help the YES community thrive and continue to become a community of entrepreneurship and education.

Jenny Shi
Jenny Shi is a senior at Highland Park High School and she is looking forward to serving as the YES Community Involvement Director this year. This is her fifth year in YES; being in this organization has helped her gain many new experiences and opportunities to explore leadership and entrepreneurship. Jenny is involved in orchestra and a variety of clubs at school. Her hobbies include swimming, reading, and crocheting. As the Community Involvement Director, Jenny will be overseeing the planning of and managing all aspects of YES community activities.

Jessica Yang
Jessica Yang is a junior at Plano West Senior and is this year’s Community Involvement Manager. She has gained a true passion for the world of finance and a strong interest in the STEM field. Apart from being involved in many clubs at her school, Jessica holds leadership in NHS and marching band. She also holds an officer position for her school's CASH club chapter which has been able to teach many students the fundamentals of investing, stock market analysis, and personal finance. Beyond that, Jessica enjoys playing the clarinet in GDYO and has been named a TMEA Texas Music Scholar two years in a row. She is also a devoted volunteer in many organizations such as Teen Court and VIP. In her free time, she likes to play tennis with her friends, listen to music, and is always down to try new places to eat! As she goes into her third year at YES, she hopes to foster connections between not only the members but also the broader community.

Sophia Li
Sophia Li is a sophomore at Library High School and the Community Involvement Officer at YES for the 2024- 2025 year. She is interested in serving the community and had the opportunity to give back to underprivileged kids through fund raising and other activities. Besides YES, Sophia is a part of AYLUS, and Citzen of Tomorrow. In her free time, Sophia enjoys listening to music, baking, and drafting. Sophia is excite to have the opportunity to serve and grow with YES community.

Ella Tang
Ella Tang is a junior at Allen High School and serves as a Community Involvement Officer at YES for the 2024-2025 year. Outside of YES, Ella dedicates much of her time to volunteering and community service. She is a member of Silverlining, where she teaches art to children, as well as an officer in ATYou, a program started by her friends that offers English, art, and dance classes. In her free time, Ella enjoys playing badminton, drawing, and biking. She looks forward to meeting new people and contributing to the YES community.

Josephina Qiu
Josephina Qiu is a junior at Greenhill and is thrilled to serve as the Director of Event Planning for her fourth year at YES. Aside from YES, she has held leadership positions in past years as her schools debate captain, winning 1st speaker awards and competing on the national circuit, as well as the Event Planning Director at Citizens of Tomorrow, a nonprofit that leads weekly English volunteer lessons to international students. In school, she is involved in various clubs including BPA, YAAMHA, and Girls in Stem. Josephina is also a history enthusiast, winning national qualifications for the National History Day completions, and frequents various arts and history museums. In her free time, she loves to play the violin and work on sewing projects. She is so excited to continue to organize YES events and help the community grow.

Vivian Zhou
Vivian Zhou is a sophomore at The Hockaday School and is thrilled to return for her third year as the Event Planning Manager. With a strong passion for leadership, at her school, she is the Vice President of the Student Council, the sophomore representative for the Asian Student Association, the Publication Outreach Director for a finance publication, and holds a leadership position in the Investment Club, among others. Beyond that, she is an avid debater at her school, winning Top Speaker and placing first at multiple ournaments. Additionally, she is an accomplished cellist of four years at her school’s orchestra, where she was nominated to perform at Carnegie Hall with a highly selective ensemble. With another year of YES under way, Vivian is looking forward to continuing her growth as an individual who is passionate about the business world.

Xinran Yan
Xinran (Cathy) Yan is a freshman at Emerson High School. This year being her second year at YES, she continues to grow and aims to contribute to the organization while learning entrepreneurial skills. Outside of academics and her role at YES, she enjoys drawing, dancing, and playing the flute. Active in school clubs and organizations since middle school, she was a member of the NJHS society and part of the school’s green team. Looking forward, she aspires to cultivate a vibrant community of entrepreneurs and foster an inclusive environment at YES.

Jason Zhang
Jason Zhang is a junior at Plano Senior High School. He is currently an event planning officer. As a member of the YES organization, he hopes to explore and learn more about business from the perspectives of numerous different fields. He is also involved in other organizations like Citizens of Tomorrow, where he works in the training department. In school, he is involved in many clubs and groups such as NHS and BPA. In his free time, Jason is passionate about art and fitness. He looks forward to another great year at YES!

Alice Cai
​Alice Cai is a senior at Plano West Senior High School and the Vice President of Historian Records and Social Media at YES for the 2024-2025 year. She is interested in business as well as has had the opportunity to explore a variety of fields and leadership through being a member of the organization. In school, Alice is involved in DECA, NHS, and various other programs aiming to connect the local community. She also is devoted to volunteering regularly through Citizens of Tomorrow outside of school. Throughout the year, she hopes to help the organization document important memories and expand its impactful events through online promotion.
Historian Records Director
Ella Liu
Ella Liu is a senior at Allen High School and holds the position of Historian Director for YES. She is an avid volunteer across the community, enjoying helping children by volunteering in the City of Plano and at nearby clinics and hospitals. Ella is involved in many activities, including being the communications officer at her school’s Math Honor Society. Outside of school, she is involved in the organization Ni Hao, an organization that helps give back to the community, and is the membership manager for the organization. She is also in IDEA International, where teachers teach Chinese students English, and she serves as the social media manager. She also runs her organization National Bright Leader of Tomorrow, where they help special needs people across North Texas. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, playing tennis, listening to many Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Tate Mcrae songs, and doing anything art-related. Ella is excited to work with fellow YES officers and make this year a successful year.
Historian
Judy Yan
Judy Yan is a senior at Plano West Senior High School, she is thrilled to serve as one of the Historians for her 3rd year in YES. Her passion lies in business, music, and volunteering. Judy has dedicated much of her time volunteering across the community, whether it's packing food for people in need, performing at senior homes, picking up trash at parks, etc, she is always helping the community to become a more friendly and bright environment for everyone. Outside of YES, Judy has placed in numerous piano competitions such as TMTA and is also an All-state violinist. In her free time, she loves to explore and listen to music, play games, take pictures, and nap. Judy is excited for this upcoming year and she’s looking forward to working with everyone!

Jean Gan
Jean Gan is a sophomore at Shepton High School. She is happy to serve as one of the Historians for YES and capture all the exciting moments this year! She has dedicated 3 years to YES, and has truly learned so much from the experience. She has interests in business, and hopes to learn more about all aspects of the career world in the years to come. Outside of YES, she is willing to support the community and is involved in various volunteering programs such as Citizens of Tomorrow, YCIA, and DYVA. In her free time, Jean is passionate about rock climbing, playing the viola, and doing art! She hopes to play a part in making YES as successful as ever!

Tiffany Zhang
Tiffany Zhang is a junior at TAMS, and she is a Social Media Director at YES this year. She has been part of the YES community for 4 years, and she was a Social Media Officer last year. In school, she was a part of BPA, Girls in STEM, and formed her own art club. Outside of YES, she teaches English, dance, and art to younger children, and in her free time she likes dancing and making art. She is looking forward to bonding with the YES community and helping YES grow more than ever this year!

Sophie Huang
Sophie Huang is a sophomore at Trinity Christian Academy and thrilled to be the YES Social Media Manager for the 2024-2025 school year. This will be her second year at YES, and she is eager to leverage social media platforms to promote its activities and enhance its impact. Outside of YES, Sophie is President and Founder of the Science Olympiad team at her school, serves as a student representative on the admissions committee, was selected to play clarinet in the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, and swims on the TCA swim team. She also volunteers regularly at the Prestonwood Pregnancy Center, a nonprofit organization that provides resources and support to pregnant women and their families in North Central Texas. In her free time, Sophie enjoys reading, photography, and playing with her dog, Marshmallow. This year, she is looking forward to helping the YES community grow and getting to know everyone in it!

Alanna Sun
Alanna Sun is a junior at Coppell High School and this year’s social media officer. This is her second year at YES, with last year being her first year as a member. Aside from YES, Alanna is active in her school’s marching band, as well as her school’s Technology Student Association chapter, both in which she has won numerous awards at the regional, state, and national level. Outside of school, Alanna has founded her own organization and helped lead other ones. Alanna’s goal this year is to get to know everyone in YES and work with them to foster a better community.

Athena Yu
Athena Yu is a rising freshman at the Greenhill School and a social media officer. She hopes to learn a lot and have fun in her second year at YES. She is also a cellist for the YES Orchestra, and enjoys playing cello outside of YES as well, placing in the TMEA Region 25 Orchestra in the 2022-23 school year and both the TMEA Region 20 Orchestra and TPSMEA MS All Region Orchestra in 2023-24. She is also passionate about volunteering and helping others in our community, as she is an active member at Citizens of Tomorrow, where she teaches people English, the Food Lounge, NTFB, and both the Plano and Dallas libraries, among other organizations. In her free time, she enjoys reading, soccer, piano, failing Spanish, and beating her friends at chess. :) She hopes to help YES thrive this year by reaching a broader community of people through social media. Iris Lee
Iris Lee is a junior at Lovejoy High School and the Vice President of Journalism and Marketing for YES in the 2024-25 school year. She has served in YES for 3 years as a journalist and journalist manager. Iris has an interest in law, business, and improving the local community. Outside of YES, Iris participates in Teen Court, Citizens Of Tomorrow, and NHS. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her 4 cats, painting, and poetry. She hopes to have another great year of self improvement and teamwork with officers to propel YES forwards!
Journalist Director
Michael Liu
Michael Liu is a rising senior at Coppell High School and is a Journalist at YES. He is highly passionate in the field of computer science and hopes to utilize such expertise in this upcoming chapter at YES and beyond in his professional career. Beyond academics and his position at YES, Michael has consistently practiced and competed in fencing nationally for over eight years, and hopes to persuade such talents beyond high school. Michae has also been involved in various school clubs and organizations, most notably his position as vice president of his school’s TSA chapter and team captain of his national qualifying team. Ultimately, Liu hopes to take his team building and leadership experience to foster a new chapter of entrepreneurs at YES.

Kathy Xia
Kathy Xia is a junior at TAMS at UNT and will serve as the Website Director at YES for the upcoming year. Academically, she is passionate about STEM and scientific research as well as holding leadership positions at school clubs. Outside of school, she is active in various entrepreneurial and nonprofit organizations, leading others to better our community through fundraising drives and volunteer activities. In her free time, she enjoys a variety of hobbies including violin and drawing. She is looking forward to serving in the YES leadership team and working with like minded peers!

Annie Chen
Annie Chen is a rising junior at Plano Senior High School and this year’s YES Journalist Manager. This being her third year at YES, Annie is especially excited to contribute to the merits and impactful experiences of this growing organization. With a strong commitment for competition and community, Annie is also the PR/social media officer for the PSHS Speech and Debate Team. Some of her achievements in this program include: ‘24 State Finalist as well as Harvard, Barkley Forum, and National Quarterfinalist. Beyond her (unhealthy) fixation with public speaking, Annie is also very involved in her campus’s Student Council, NHS, and Asian American Student Organization. Having gained a lot of entrepreneurial and leadership insight from Youth Entrepreneur Society, she continues to look forward to meeting and working with everyone in YES this year!

Sophie Cho
Sophie Cho is a sophomore at the Hockaday School and holds the journalist position in her 2nd year at YES. She is part of her school’s newspaper, and is on the school fencing team. She has been doing FIRST robotics since 4th grade, and is now a builder on the world-level FIRST Tech Challenge team Technicbots. She won the gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award last year for her community service in various organizations. When she’s not brainstorming writing or robotics ideas, she enjoys singing in choir, dancing, listening to music by Beabadoobee, and reading a good book. She is super excited for the upcoming year, and hopes to contribute to the vibrant YES community!

Chris Pan
Chris Pan is a sophomore at Wakeland High School and holds the position of a Historian. Chris has been a member of YES for 3 years, and he is passionate in the field of business. Outside of YES, Chris has been an officer at 2 Toastmaster clubs and is involved in DECA. He has also been able to work as an intern for an investment company (YiMei Capital), located in Shanghai. This gave Chris the opportunity to work among colleagues in a real life business environment. In his free time, Chris loves to play soccer with his friend. He looks forward to working with YES by improving the articles for the website, but also interacting with new people and building relationships.

Emma Lin
Emma Lin is a senior at The Hockaday School. This will be her fourth year in YES and she will be serving as the Vice President of Fundraising and Membership, working hard to curate projects and manage members. Her passion lies in volunteering and social impact, and this can be seen in her position as the YES Community Involvement Manager and Officer in the past years. Outside of YES, Emma participates in both performing and visual arts.

Eric Qian
Eric is a junior at Plano West and is returning back to YES for his third year. While he previously served as Community Involvement Officer, his experiences over the past year made him more interested in making YES events financially viable. Outside of YES, Eric enjoys speech and debate, having semifinaled state and quarterfinaled the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions. He also serves as the Head of Education at Be the Light, a local organization teaching speech and debate workshops and donating proceeds to regional charities. Furthermore, Eric loves playing piano, competing up to the international level, and he sings in Plano West’s mixed choir and pop group.

Timothy Mei
Timothy Mei is a junior at Prestonwood Christian Academy and the Fundraising Manager for YES this year. He is passionate about making a difference in his community through his various ventures. Timothy led his team in the First Tech Challenge and founded the robotics program at his school. He also excels in Congress debate, serving as the Vice President of his team and competing at the highest levels. Additionally, Timothy is the Vice President of his junior class. He is dedicated to solving the problems of tomorrow, having placed in the Top 10 internationally in Future Problem Solvers. This year, Timothy aims to bring his skills and aspirations to YES, making it the best year yet!

Sophie Yu
Sophie Yu is a junior at Mckinney North High and the Fundraising Officer for the 2024-2025 year. As an avid member of YES for two years, she is passionate about fundraising and has gained valuable insight about the world of business and leadership through YES. At school, Sophie is a diligent student and is Treasurer of the Girls in STEM club, founder of the MNHS Chinese Culture Club, and a HOSA member. She also volunteers regularly at the Mckinney Food Pantry, teaches classes at Citizens of Tomorrow and serves as VP of the Finance/IT department. In her free time, Sophie enjoys playing the piano, making art, and cooking. Sophie hopes to connect YES with more of the community and create inspiring ways to raise funds for YES.

Ethan Fan
Ethan Fan is a junior at Plano West Senior High and holds the position of Fundraising Officer. He has an undying passion for real estate, fundraising, and entrepreneurship, exercising his skills at multiple events and competitions including The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, BPA, DECA, and much more. He is dedicated to giving back to the community, volunteering more than 300 hours in the span of three years at multiple organizations including Perot Museum and North Texas Food Bank. Outside of YES, Ethan excels in playing the cello. He has become a leader at the Royal Music Academy, placed within the top 3 at the Charleston International Music Competition, and secured a spot in the top orchestra at the Region 25 TMEA competition. Ethan is also a Life Scout in the Boy Scouts of America where he is currently working on his Eagle Project and learned the ins and outs of leadership. He loves playing basketball with his friends and regularly spends time with his family. Ethan is wholeheartedly looking forward to this next year at YES and is excited to meet with everyone!

Sarah Yan
Sarah Yan is a rising senior at Prestonwood Christian Academy and holds the position of social media officer. She exhibits a profound passion for business, particularly in the domains of marketing, advertisement, and finance. Sarah also holds her own business club at the school, in addition to actively participating in various clubs, including the student leadership institution. Moreover, she takes pleasure in tutoring students across all subjects and excels as a valuable member of her school's varsity tennis team. She looks forward to YES not only raising awareness within the YES community through various social media platforms but also extending its reach beyond YES to assist and contribute to the broader community.

Jack Li
Jack Li is a rising senior at Rock Hill High School in Prosper ISD, where he stands out as an accomplished leader and dedicated student. As the team captain and lead builder for his VEX Robotics team, Jack guided a group of 14 individuals to a remarkable 23rd place out of 6,000 teams at the 2024 World Championships, marking a significant achievement in his second year of robotics. Outside of academics and robotics, Jack is passionate about rock climbing and is committed to engaging in activities that enhance his understanding of long-term financial wealth. His blend of leadership experience and diverse interests reflects his drive and versatility both in and out of the classroom.

Valerie Chew
Valerie Chew is a senior at Lebanon Trail High School and this year’s Orchestra Advisor for the YES officer team. This is her 3rd year in YES, and she was previously one of the Community Involvement Officers last year. Outside of YES, she participates in jazz ensembles and is a founding member of Youth Jazz International. Valerie’s goal is to work closely with other orchestra officers in support of YES programs throughout this school year.

Ted Ma
Ted Ma is an upcoming junior at Lone Star High School @ Frisco ISD. He is extremely honored to serve as one of the Orchestra liaisons, and this year will be his second year at YES. His favorite hobbies include playing the violin, playing games, and programming. Last year, he contributed to managing the YES Orchestra, attending all the rehearsals and performing. We successfully performed at a Senior House Center, Christmas Community Event, McKinney Asian Festival, and YES EOY. He is also a member of GDYO and has competed at All-Region, placing in the top orchestra every year. At his school, he is in the top orchestra and president of Tri-M. He is passionate about business and computer science and represented his school at computer science UIL.

Ashley Chen
Ashley Chen is a junior at Allen High School and is the Orchestra Liason for YES in the 24-25 school year. As a member of YES since 8th grade, she is passionate about serving her community and dedicating her time to local volunteer efforts. Last year, she founded YES's orchestra program and serves as the principal first violin, leading every rehearsal and performance at events such as the McKinney Asian Festival, Silver Gardens, and the EOY Business Launch event. Outside of YES, she acts as concertmaster of her school orchestra and is a member of GDYO. Throughout the year, Ashley hopes to further strengthen the orchestra program, take on new volunteer initiatives, and continue making a meaningful impact through her dedication and service.
